Entry IV - Blooded Path

Entry IV – Blooded Path

Priority Sigil: Blooded Path

Transmission begins — signal integrity unstable.

Council of Elune… if this message reaches you, know that it is sent along a path paid for in blood.

The engagement upon this world unfolded beyond the limits of our auguries. Kraznakh One-Eye, the Ork warboss, proved far more resilient than foresight had indicated — a nexus of brutal will whose presence distorted probability through violence alone. His advance forced the battle into close quarters sooner than intended, collapsing futures even as they formed.

Striking Scorpions engaged first, cutting through Ork Boyz with discipline and precision, yet even their efforts could not halt the warboss’s momentum. When the Ork lines threatened to break through entirely, the Howling Banshees advanced without hesitation. Their war cries tore through both air and warp as they hurled themselves into Kraznakh’s path, locking him and his retinue in brutal engagement. It was their stand that bought the time required. Had the Banshees not held — had the Aspects not bled — this transmission would not exist.

I do not mourn the retreat. The skein does not permit such indulgence. In the moment of withdrawal, fate made its demand clear. I was shown a fragment of what lies ahead: a battle yet to come, fought in Elune’s name, upon a field not yet chosen. In every path that endures, the Guardians stand. Their survival here was not chance, but necessity. To have spent their lives upon this soil — however noble the stand — would have severed futures still required.

Know this also: the fallen have not been abandoned. When the skein allows and the Ork presence can be drawn aside, the Striking Scorpions will return to the site of battle. They will walk the shadowed paths once more to recover the Spirit Stones of those who fell, so that their souls may be borne home and joined to Elune’s Infinity Circuit. No voice that was sworn to the Path shall be left to the hungering dark.

Though we were compelled to abandon the field, the path ahead is no longer wholly obscured. Bloodshed has loosened the veil that binds this world. The planet is not a passive stage for war; it reacts. It listens. I perceive now echoes beneath the surface that were silent before our arrival. The truth remains incomplete, but retreat has granted clarity, not defeat.

That clarity bears a warning. The forces currently committed are insufficient. The Orks are merely the coarsest expression of this world’s danger, and even they strained our strength to its limit. To press further — to uncover what truly anchors this planet beyond sight and fate — more warriors will be required. Aspect Shrines must be stirred, and the Seer Council must prepare paths walked with intent, or we will be broken in fragments.

I cast this message into the void with uncertain faith. The skein between myself and Elune trembles, frayed by interference I cannot yet name. I do not know if the craftworld will receive this warning, nor whether it will choose to answer. Should silence follow, I will continue to act as fate demands, until the threads bind us once more — or break entirely.

May the dead be remembered.
May the living endure.

Transmission ends.
